These Bluestripe Snappers were introduced in 1958 from the Marquesas. Unfortunately, they had little commercial value and they ended up a big flop in the markets! They have now permeated both the shallows and the deeper waters where they compete(successfully, unfortunately) with the local fish for available food! When are we going to learn? Sigh!
