Frank the Fourspot Butterflyfish was contemplating 'worldly' issues when he felt something amiss going on(literally) to his rear. "Hey! Watch where you're sticking that dorsal fin!"

The Herdees! Posted by Hello

The Herder!

About a month ago, I sent out a 'daily' of a Trevally 'herding' some Hawaiian Flagtails. This is the Trevally's morning 'exercise' and he seldom misses a day. Had a couple of requests for more photos so here they are! Posted by Hello

These photos of a Manybar Goatfish were taken about 5 seconds apart. The first one was taken while a Saddleback Wrasse was cleaning the Goatfish. Maybe the maroon coloration helps the Wrasse identify dead skin and parasites that need 'cleaning.' When the Wrasse left the 'scene,' the Goatfish continued the, 'hey I need cleaning posture,' but dramatically changed his coloration to white and gray, possibly advertising for a return visit by the Wrasse. Unfortunately, all he got was me!
I tried this color/posture change with my wife and can report that it does not work!! Now how do I get all this rouge off my body?

looking for love in all the wrong places.
Looking for love in too many faces.
Searching their eyes, looking for traces
of what I'm dreaming of.

At a recent Hanauma Bay greater open invitational square dance tourney, Tom and Teresa Turtle experienced difficulties executing the intricate maneuvers associated with the 'doo see doo' movement owing to rogue currents moving through the dance floor in a random pattern. "Rats!" mused Tom as he attempted to execute a complex 90 degree turn. " We should have taken up tango!" aloha, Larry

After 14 months on the Adkins diet, Mike the Moray had reached his goal of 3 lbs 4.4 oz. However, he now noticed that the skin around his eyes, gills and his neck seemed to sag owing to the lack of flesh underneath. "Geez," he mused, "I wonder if plastic surgery could tighten it up?"

A Crocodile Neeedlefish saying "cheese" as I snap the photo. This critter has some serious 'choppers.' and considers 'herbivore' a bad word unless he's eating one! aloha,Larry
