The conundrum is this- If a Ringtail Surgeonfish doesn't have a Ring OR a Tail, is it still a Ringtail Surgeonfish? This Ringtail Surgeonfish may have lost it's 'tail assembly' as a youth, possibly due to predation, or may be a mutation of his species. Either way, he continues to thrive as a member of the Bay's 'handicapped' crew! An inspiration to us all!
